Our engineering is completed in house, is not sent to the manufacturer’s representative as much of our competition does. We have discovered that the manufacturer’s designer typically does not visit the site or even talk to the client. This can lead to inadequate/over specification of project, inadequate lighting levels or wasted energy. We engineer multiple options for each project. This gives you the best option to choose best product application, lowest energy costs and lowest installed costs. Usually one of those options clearly demonstrates why it is the best choice. We can produce building documents, specifications and products that meet requirements of IESNA (Illuminating Engineering Society of North America), WFOE (Wisconsin Focus on Energy), Epact 2005 (Energy Policy Act of 2005), NSF (National Sanitation Foundation), FDA (Food and Drug Administration), NEC (National Electric Code), USDA (United States Department of Agriculture) and others. The document is clear, concise and to the point. When projects through Lighting Design Solutions conform to Wisconsin Focus on Energy program, Lighting Design Solutions will forward all invoicing, project documentation and completed forms to a pre-determined company representative for signature and submittal to Wisconsin Focus on Energy for pre-approved funding. This greatly reduces your company personnel time and assures incentive deadlines. Many times this is a forgotten procedure among plant personnel in the midst of a project deadline. We will also at year end update the company representative of the possible Epact implications so those deadlines can be met as well.
